Introducing the Partnership Model

The Partnership Model is how banking platforms and resellers tell us which customer a link token is for. You identify the customer with a single, first-class field on the link token: partner_customer_id.
Specifying the customer with tags.customer_id (for banking platforms) or with reseller_customer_id (for resellers) is now deprecated and will stop being accepted on July 1, 2027. The Partnership Model Migration Guide covers the two small changes involved, one to link token creation and one to webhook processing.
