New API Version 2025-07-08

We have launched a new API version: 2025-07-08!

This version introduces an improved Create Link Token endpoint that enables you to explicitly specify which Pinwheel solution you're using, and renames the required_jobs field to features. Implementation guides for all products have been updated to reflect these changes. As a reminder, if you'd like to view our docs for older versions of the API, select the desired version using the version selector in the upper left corner of the page.

Important: For customers that wish to implement any of our bill switching or bill management solutions, this version of the API is now required. Existing customers of our Deposit Switch, Verify, and Taxes solutions can continue to use prior versions of the API as normal.

Breaking Changes

• A new solution parameter is required when creating a link token. Valid values for this field are provided in the Create Link Token reference.
  • Customers implementing one of our bill switch/management solutions will specify "Switch Kit" or "Bill Navigator".
  • Existing customers who wish to migrate to the new API version will now specify "Deposit Switch" or "Verify" depending on their existing implementation. See Migrating to API version 2025-07-08 for details.
  • Note: if Pinwheel decides in the future to rename one of our solutions, the old name will continue to be a valid value for this endpoint.
• The required_jobs parameter has been renamed to features.
