Jack Henry/Banno Onboarding Guide - jXchange APIs

Introduction

This guide is for financial institutions ready to integrate the Pinwheel Switch Kit Plugin, and want to allow their account holders to switch payment methods for bills and subscriptions using credit cards offered by the FI via Jack Henry.

Due to PCI compliance requirements, getting detailed credit card information requires the FI to grant the Pinwheel plugin access to special APIs, called jXchange.

This involves the following key actions:

  1. Request jX-Rest Setup for Backend Services
  2. Configure Client Credentials & Service Account in Banno Users & Groups

The steps below walk you through each of these in detail.

1. Request jX-Rest Setup for Backend Services

The first step is to create a case in the For Clients Portal with the following information:

Summary:
jX-R configuration needed for Pinwheel Switch Kit plugin in Banno

Description:
Environment variable(s): prod
ProviderProductResource: card-mgmt
ProviderProductName: jh-digitalcorecardmanagement
Provider Base URL:
https://prod.dc-card-mgmt.jhapps.com/api/card-mgmt

Consumer Product Name: jh-digitalcorecardmanagement

When complete, please add the clientId and clientSecret in notes and transfer the case to Banno Support.

Once this case is complete, Banno Support will configure the clientId and clientSecret needed for the next step and send to Pinwheel.

2. Configure Client Credentials & Service Account in Banno Users & Group

Once Pinwheel has received the clientID and clientSecret for the jXchange API, we're ready for step 2.
